tried to buy a new gas cap for my car, it was throwing evap codes and the gas cap is the simplest fix. They have the cap, asked if they could reset the code so I can test to see if that had fixed my problem, was told they aren't allowed to reset codes even though they check the codes for customers. Where is the harm? If they reset it and it doesn't come back then the gas cap worked, if not I have some other problem and the light will come back anyway. So...didn't buy gas cap, lost my business, going elsewhere

I needed my battery and alternator tested, and I only had to wait for about 10 minutes (while the equipment was being used on another customer's car). The moment that the other person's car had finished being tested, the scanner was handed off to a guy whose shirt read "Jose" (my receipt identifies him as "Jose S."), who beckoned me outside without even letting the door close. He confirmed my suspicion that the battery needed to be replaced, and eased my concerns about the alternator by showing the display on his scanner, showing that it was putting out 14 volts. We walked back into the store to get me a new battery, which I intended to install myself. He insisted on installing it for me. We had a great conversation while he worked, and he had me back on the road very quickly. I have not been impressed to the point of leaving feedback in years, but that is certainly the case today. Jose, you rock!

Went into the Arden, NC store today to have my alternator checked. I was told by Matthew that He had to install a battery for another customer first and then he would help me. After waiting in the store for 20 minutes, Matthew finished and returned inside. He then started helping other customers that had arrived after I did. I waited another 10 minutes and finally had to leave. I will no longer do business with Advanced auto, there are plenty of other auto parts stores in the area.
